Based in Manchester, UK – All Weather Artist, Alto, transcends the physical boundaries of graffiti on walls and canvas and ventures into multi-disciplinary, digital graffiti art, lettering design and illustration which lends the same energy to vectorised or pixel based work on-screen or in print as you would find on a wall.
I was invited to take part in the Stockport paint jam by Jay Sharples and Grit Studios. It felt auspicious being on home turf and being almost 20 years to the date, when I had started campaigning for legal walls in Stockport after my arrest in 2003. It was, in fact a great day which lead to many further opportunities for artists in the local area to have safe space to perform their craft safely and freely.
The Manucunian Spray in 2019 featured some the UK’s best graffiti and street artists.
