Illustration is the art of drawing. Almost every piece of work I do starts as a manual illustration, many then get painted in aerosol or drawn digitally for print or graphic work. Letters, characters, logos, icons and technical illustrations – flexing vectors part of my daily routine.

The Year was 2003. After the invasion of Iraq, another war began closer to home. Operation Juggernaut, referred to in the local news as ‘the war on graffiti’, was in progress. The British Transport Police and Greater Manchester Police began a serious campaign against graffiti artists. Graffiti artists found themselves woken at dawn to police raids upon their homes searching for evidence. Artist were taken in for questioning concerning illicit artistic activity around the city and, if found guilty, were imprisoned for their art-crimes.
This was the beginning of the hunt for the Weapons of Mass Creation, a series of plans for machines capable of creating beyond imagination, ready for deployment on the city streets.
